South Pole recreation

Preparations for our field deployment are taking longer than planned this year. We have been at the South Pole for more than two weeks now, so Sunday afternoon recreation is in order. The sun is shining and it's -25.8C outside - weather far too nice to waste with classic indoor Antarctic pastimes. Snow contrast and density issues make ball golf difficult, but how about a game of disc golf? There is a carefully-planned 18-hole course laid out through the cargo berms outside the station.
